Combo brows is a semi-permanent brow tattoo service that lasts about 1-3 years depending on your skin type and lifestyle after your 6-10 week touch up. Combo brows is a combination of manual hairstrokes and machine shading.

Machine shading helps blend hairstrokes and leaves a powder finish. This is great for all skin types, especially oily skin.

Combo brows is similar to getting a tattoo on your body, but it doesn’t go as deep. Tattoos go to the dermis which is why it is permanent whereas combo brows goes to the epidermis. This is also why you don’t get discoloration if done properly and also why it lasts for a few years versus a lifetime.

Each individual’s experience will vary due to their skin type and also lifestyle, but it is important to schedule a consultation to go over individual questions and concerns.

Microblading is manual hair-strokes with a soft solid line appearance. Feather Nano is machine hair-strokes with a feathery, powdery line appearance.

All permanent makeup brow services can lasts approximately 1-3 years after touch up and depending on skin type and lifestyle.

Most clients report little to no pain, and would compare it to a threading or tweezing.  Topical lidocaine is applied prior and during the procedure so the client can feel at ease while receiving the treatment. Most fall asleep!

  • If you’re sensitive, avoid getting PMU service during your period. This causes you to bleed more and can make you more sensitive than normal.

  • Also, avoid alcohol & caffeine as this can increase more pain than usual

The initial procedure takes about 2.5-3 hours. We begin by consulting about the desire brow look. Then we brow map, which tends to take a bit of time since we want to make sure the brows are perfect before blading. Then we numb the skin for about 15 minutes using topical lidocaine and then we begin the microblading process.

After initial touch up at the 6-10 week mark, highly recommended to wait at least 12 months or more. Too many touch-ups can cause too much scar tissues.

Touch-up after initial is more of a tune up in color or shape that is based on client desire. Pricing is available on site. Please email me if you have specific questions

Microblading is not recommended for those with oily skin or large pores as it’ll give you more blurred results and less retention. If that’s you, you may want to consider microshading combo. The following are not candidates either:

  • Pregnant or nursing

  • If you have had permanent makeup done (please message before booking)

  • If you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment

  • Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, Skin cancer, Hemophilia, Lupus

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis

  • Rosacea

  • Seborrheic dermatitis

  • If you are on any blood thinners

  • If you are using an topical skincare such as retinol, accutane

** Thyroid: Can proceed forward with your brow service, but know that the retention may not be great and may require an extra follow up appointment and more often follow up visits.

** Vitiligo: Can perform brow service but results are never guaranteed

** Cancer: Can only perform microblading with a medical clearance from their physician.

** Diabetes: Must have medical clearance before performing procedure

** Accutane: Must get clearance

Microblading create hair-like strokes where as MicroShading is a combination of hair strokes and shading. Clients with little to no hair would benefit with microshading as we are able to fill in between hair giving it a more defined full look. See examples on my portfolio.

Botox is a powerful toxin that blocks the neuromuscular junctions. It takes some time to settle. This is why it is best to wait a month before or after the botox to receive microblade service

Once you go through your required 2 sessions within one year, it is highly suggested that you don’t do anymore touch-ups for at least 1 year. Why? Because the more sessions you do, the more likely you can cause trauma and scar tissue, which makes it difficult to impossible to implement pigment after that. After you get your annual touch-up, my personal suggestion is to wait and receive another at least 12 months or more. Clients who are oily may get touched up a little before the one year mark but I would message directly to determine case by case.

Touch ups apply to all our permanent makeup treatments. We will discuss this more thoroughly at your appointment, however just know that to achieve the best healed results you will want to come back for your touch up. For brow related treatments such as microblading, powder brows or combo brows, it will be around 1 month out from your initial treatment.
