What is Ombré Powder Brows?

Hello Again Beauty Lovers,

Today we are going to go over another popular brow service —> Powder Ombré Brows. So let’s dive into it!

Ombre Powder Brows FAQ

Ombré powder brows is a popular permanent makeup style technique that involves enhancing the appearance of eyebrows using a machine and creating the illusion of soft, shaded brows. It would essentially look like an expert applied brow powder makeup on you. However, the difference between this and traditional eyebrow powder makeup is that it is semi-permanent, waterproof, and we have the ability to fade and gradually transition color from light to dark.

And this is great for all skin type, especially oily and mature!

What does the procedure look like?

During the procedure, a trained technician uses a small handheld device equipped with a fine needle to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin. Unlike traditional microblading, which creates individual hair-like strokes, ombré powder brows create a powder-filled effect. The pigment is applied in a series of tiny dots or small lines, gradually building up the intensity and depth of color. We work with you in deciding shape and color which is why this service is always customized to the individual.

The technique involves blending multiple shades of pigment to achieve a natural-looking gradient. The outer edges of the brows are darker and gradually fade into a lighter shade towards the inner part. This gradient effect helps create dimension and a soft, well-defined, balanced appearance.

One of the advantages of ombré powder brows is their versatility. The intensity and shape of the brows can be customized to suit individual preferences, whether someone desires a more natural look or a bolder, more defined appearance. Consultation is important whether you do it ahead of time or day of appointment so that your artist can guide you through the process and help achieve the desired results. There shouldn’t be any surprises when it comes to permanent makeup.

Why choose ombré powder brows?

Ombré powder brows have gained popularity due to their longevity and low maintenance. They typically last longer than microblading, with results lasting anywhere from one to three years, depending on various factors such as skin type, aftercare, and individual lifestyle.

Now I do get asked about why they don’t last forever. The reason why we want the brows to fade is so we can give you true hair-like color tones back. With traditional permanent makeup, you run into the chances of it turning to an unwanted color such as green, blue, red, purple. With that said, touch-up sessions may be required to maintain the desired color and shape over time. But the key is to let it fade at least 60% from the initial touch-up to allow the artist to have range in color and retention. This means it may take a few years before you come in for your “annual” touch up.

What to consider after procedure?

After the procedure, there is a healing process involved. The brows may appear slightly darker and more intense immediately after the treatment, but they will gradually lighten and soften during the healing period, typically within 6-10 weeks.

Remember, while ombré powder brows can be a fantastic option for enhancing your eyebrows, it’s crucial to research and choose a reputable professional to ensure a safe and satisfactory outcome.
